Leaving Home

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.

In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.

Entering Home

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Rabbina tawakkalna.

In the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust.

Mounting a Vehicle

لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِۦ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا۟ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقْرِنِينَ ﴿١٣﴾ وَإِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

Subhanal-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin. Wa inna ila Rabbina la-munqalibun.

Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it (by our efforts). And indeed, to our Lord we will return.

Before Eating

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah.

In the name of Allah.

If One Forgets Bismillah

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِهِ وَآخِرِهِ

Bismillahi fi awwalihi wa akhirihi.

In the name of Allah at its beginning and at its end.

After Eating

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi at'amani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah.

All praise is for Allah who fed me this and provided it for me without any might nor power from myself.

Entering the Mosque

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Allahummaftah li abwaba rahmatik.

O Allah, open the gates of Your mercy for me.

Leaving the Mosque

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.

O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.

Entering the Toilet

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-khubthi wal-khaba'ith.

O Allah, I take refuge with You from all evil and evil-doers.

Leaving the Toilet

غُفْرَانَكَ

Ghufranak.

I ask You (Allah) for forgiveness.

After Wudu

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ. اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

Ashhadu an la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh. Allahummaj'alni minat-tawwabina waj'alni minal-mutatahhirin.

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah, make me of those who return to You often in repentance and make me of those who remain clean and pure.
